The Upside

My housemates and I have a huge backlog of Jeopardy episodes on our DVR. Was watching with Tuan and Erika the other day and this came up:

Contestant: Bummer Words $2000

Alex: This word is found after clinical, manic & postpartum

Me: (screaming giddily) DEPRESSION!!!!

Tuan: (looks at me) … I don’t know what to say to you right now.

Methinks to self: … oooh Depression just won me $2000!

I’m pretty over feeling inadequate and angry about being depressed. Doesn’t make me special, or worse, or whatever. Hope I’ve grown up more because of it - or at least gained perspective.
